About Us
Who are we?
BEF is a charitable organization that was formed in 2013 by a group of Bhamdounis living in Lebanon & abroad to ensure that all Bhamdounis have a chance for a meaningful college education. The foundation operated informally for the first 2 years and in 2015, its application as a non-for-profit charitable organization with the Ministry of Interior was approved and currently operates under license number 109 dated 26/01/2015.
The goal of foundation is to ensure that no person from Bhamdoun will be denied a college education because of financial reasons.
Our Students
Since 2013, we have raised more than $750,000 and provided nearly $600,000 in scholarships to more than 60 students attending the following universities:
American University of Beirut
Lebanese American University
Universite Saint-Joseph
Notre Dame University
Universite la Sagesse
Universite Antonine

Once approved, scholarships are provided annually until graduation provided that the student maintains good academic standards.
100% of the donations are used to fund the education of Bhamdouni students
Our Alumni
Our students upon graduating have chosen different paths. Thirty-five students responded to our survey upon graduation. Of those, 16 are working or studying abroad, 11 are working or studying inside Lebanon and the rest are still seeking employment. Here is a synopsis of the jobs our alumni have:

In the Fall Semester 2024, 25 Bhamdouni students have received scholarships to attend college
